CiS group publishes progress report in the UN Global Compact yearbook 2016
The CiS group is an owner-managed company based in Krefeld, Germany with production sites in the Czech Republic and Romania employing over 1,100 people.
"In the CiS group values such as human rights, environmental protection, labour standards, combating corruption and an appreciative approach when dealing with internal and external areas continue to play an important role", states Doris Wöllner, CSR officer for the CiS group. In 2016 too we have been intensively involved with the details of the guidelines from the Global Compact and with supporting the values of the Global Compact throughout the whole of the CiS group with great commitment. We have undertaken to actively incorporate the ten principles into the company culture and into the daily business processes and to work on this continuously.
For the third year running the CiS group has been very involved as an active member of the UN Global Compact and has also published a contribution in the 2016 yearbook. The 'Migration and flight" yearbook address this topic itself on the one hand but on the other hand also addresses the topic of companies and human rights. Alongside the consideration of sustainable development goals, the yearbook also focussed on good practical examples the CiS group is one of 28 companies such as ABB, Audi, BOSCH, Daimler and Miele, that are turning the ten principles of the Global Compact into guidelines and regard the 2030 Agenda as an opportunity. Core areas in this include the topics of integration, personnel management, climate protection and digitalisation.

For this reason, the CiS group contribution primarily addressed industry through these changing times and sees digitalisation as an opportunity
