Design 3 dobby from CIS is a highly advanced CAD/CAM system for the development and production of dobby woven fabric. The distinctive aspect of Design3 dobby is the faithful reproduction of the pattern development process, the production calculation and the resulting fabric simulation. Design3 dobby consists of two major segments: Color 2 where yarn data and color are created, and Dobby where the pattern is designed, the 3D fabric simulation is constructed and precise production data is transferred to the manufacturing process.

Design3 dobby supports a full range of yarn types that are constructed using exact yarn specifications. Yarn color may be individually developed or measured by a spectophometer. Patterns are constructed with actual production specifications which result in precise 3D fabric simulations and the transfer of the production data to the manufacturing area.

Seamless integration of Design3 dobby with RAMSETE III and Design3 Style enables both the visualization of print effects on the woven fabric and the total fabric effect in its final end use.
